Bespoke tailoring

Alexander Boyd offers a full bespoke service for both shirts and suits, our Master Cutter Clive Phythian is on hand to create bespoke garments of your choice. Trained at the prestigious military and naval tailors Gieves & Hawkes of Savile Row, Clive began his tailoring career in 1977 having graduated from the London School of Fashion with Credit and an advanced City and Guild diploma.

Shirts

Our bespoke shirts start from £175 and there is a minimum first order of 3, this includes a complimentary plain white shirt which we use to make sure your pattern is correct. There are a variety of collar and cuff styles to choose from and hundreds of shirting fabrics available. Please allow at least 30 minutes for your appointment as you will be shown all the fabric and style options and a full set of measures will be taken.

Suits

Alexander Boyd Tailoring specialises in Bespoke suits, jackets coats, evening wear, morning suits for weddings and Royal Ascot as well as sporting attire. A range of fine English worsteds, mohairs and Scottish tweeds and other selected cloths are available from stock. Each garment is cut and sewn by hand using traditional tailoring skills. This department is under the direction of Clive Phythian our Master Cutter. Bespoke prices start at £1800, we only offer ‘true bespoke’, each individual pattern is handcrafted and unique to it’s owner. Clive is happy to discuss your requirements and answer any questions on the process you may have.
